Dethatching
Thatch is the layer of living and dead stems, roots, stolons, and rhizomes between the green blades of grass and the soil surface. A thin layer of thatch (less than 1/2 inch thick) can be beneficial to the lawn because it helps to limit weed germination, reduce water evaporation, and protect from frost damage. However, thick thatch layers can prevent water, air, and nutrients from penetrating the soil, causing reduced root growth and increased potential for drought stress. Thatch also favors fungal growth and can harbor insect pests.
We will use our mechanical dethatching machine to remove any excess thatch and get your lawn back to an appropiate level of thatch it needs.

Mulch Sales & Installation
We can offer a variety of different types of mulch. While the natural shredded oak bark mulch is by far our most popular, we do offer different colored mulch and even cedar mulch to match your personal tastes.
Handling mulch can be back breaking labor. We can take care of the installation for you! With experience and a professional attitude, we don't just "throw and lay the mulch down", we install it. That means we know proper depths, placement, and how to correctly mulch around trees and plants (yes, there is a very specific way to do it right.) Your fresh new mulch and plants are in the right hands!

Debris Removal
Got some extra yard waste you just don't know what to do with? Call us, we can get rid of it! And by getting rid of it we mean we will load it up, haul it away, and take it somewhere it will be recycled and turned into some awesome compost.
Edging
Edging can provide that clean look to your lawn where it meets the sidewalk and driveways. While string trimmer edging is the norm for our weekly lawn service (something our owner pioneered over 15 years ago) some places may need some extra help. We will use a powered blade edger to get that clean crisp look you want. And of course we always clean up and haul away the debris.
